Rawalpindi : 5700 students get free solar lamps from Punjab Government. These students are selected from Rawalpindi division schools.
These lamps will be given to those students who secured requisite marks in 9th class examination under the scheme by Chief Minister Punjab named as "Ujala Program".
About 1791 students have been selected from district Rawalpindi, 1184 students from district Jhelum, 1122 students from district Attock, 1603 students from district Chakwal for the provision of this Lamp.
Students called this Ujala Program as a good step from Punjab Govt for the welfare of students in every aspect.
